All your literal words don’t mean a thing No, you don’t get it Take some time and think of what you mean for real Instead of fingers firing Now it seems everyone’s got time be a poet It doesn’t even matter who wrote it Still shit outta luck And I don’t dare believe in much I know that we’re still shit outta luck And I don’t care Keeping quiet in the loudest cities I love I’m closed for maintenance A war of words crashes through my brain And I am both defendant and the plaintiff Wasting time with blurs of colours Saying the wrong thing so confidently Comparing myself to others Wasting it all Just waiting for the curtain call Still shit outta luck And I don’t dare believe in much I know that we’re still shit outta luck We’re pulled apart Sensitive to the touch And I don’t care

Keep still while you rest your bones While you are sleeping sound Your kiss, never far away Turns my world upside down White lights shining in the sky Brighten every corner in town I like the strength you carry with you Peaceful, beautiful, renowned Hurry your feet and come with me The waves are rolling all around The way you move your body is picturesque So profound You’ve seen the corners all before But no one knows how it goes down I’ve heard the sound of your heart singing loud Keep dancing now On precious ground Time slows and you might only know There’s a whisper in the sound Of all the smiles on the faces of the folks you keep around The language that your heart is speaking to me oh so loud Here’s the only translation I have found Keep dancing now On precious ground

The Ink 03:47
We can talk about it With the words that we once knew We got double knotted Tongue tied by the colour of the bruise Strip the paint now from it Expose the nerve with something new When the smoke starts coming We’ll see just how fast you can move I lost my footing in the fire All the ink has dried on the pages That I wrote when I was a teenager And through unfocused eyes I can see that time is its heaviest from behind Tired of dancing around it But my shoes are still tied tight Keep trying to unlock it Even if your key broke off inside The flames may not be worth it I’m giving up on the new excuse Not saying I’m above it Just watching it all from the roof I lost my footing in the fire I left something to be desired I lost my footing in the fire All the ink has dried on the pages That I wrote when I was a teenager And through unfocused eyes I can see that time is where its heaviest All the ink has dried on the pages That I wrote when I was a teenager And through unfocused eyes I can see that time is its heaviest from behind

Roam 03:31
Digging in heels beneath A spirit that’s wildly free There’s ground that don’t move an inch That we could be covering I know you think I might not be The place for you But I can be warmth from the cold I’ll be with you wherever we roam So dig your heels into me And be right where we both need Discover how things could be Without moving ground beneath those feet I know you think I might not be The place for you But I can be warmth from the cold I’ll be with you wherever we roam

I’m tangled up in the telephone But there’s no wires anymore Personifying a dial tone This conversation’s become a chore Maybe it’s because I talk too much Don’t need to listen anyway I guess from now on then I’ll be stuck Talking to myself all day And you don’t wanna listen to me Not anymore Oh you don’t wanna listen to me Not anymore You like me when my mouth is shut No reason for us to catch up But you forgot, I don’t give a fuck So I’ll just keep on flapping my gums I’m so exhausted, can hardly speak But I can’t let you think that you’ve won This instance isn’t persistence, see It’s just the stubbornness of the young And you don’t wanna listen to me Not anymore Oh you don’t wanna listen to me Not anymore

Noticing You 04:16
I noticed you from afar I wondered how I could get close to you I noticed you from afar Tell me, what’s a hungry heart to do? I wish I was there to show you What you mean to me today I guess I’m still noticing you From a distance far away I noticed you from afar Before I know the puck had dropped And you were tripping too So fucked My brain was buzzing out orange and blue I wish I was there to show you What you mean to me today I guess I’m still noticing you From a million miles away I wish I was there to show you What you mean to me today I guess I’m still noticing you From a distance far away

Let This Go 05:05
These sheets are so damn comforting Every morning, I swear I’ll never leave them Only morning is really the afternoon I woke up to my brain pounding through My skull and down to my shoes I need to let you know That I need to let this go These streets are so damn troubling Every moment seems to be stumbling Hold it open when you feel the door swing Right at you like it’s a heavyweight champion Come off the ropes and at your opponent I need to let you know That I need to let this go Fumble and feel the groove Reset and read the room Shed your skin, shake on through Find the right voice to say that I need to let you know That I need to let this go

Comandeer 02:53
Come in here under my skin It's hot and cold Just like we've been You've commandeered my heart You win Are you prepared for the thick and thin? I'm staying for the feeling you give Hold your breath I'll be here when you're coming to We’ll meet again And all the things I did back then I’m sorry darling, and that’s the truth I'm staying for the feeling you give No I can't, no I won't Disappear and leave you alone Because I'm here and I want To just wait up for the sun all night long
9.
Follow Me 04:18
Why would we wait for something When the earth just keeps moving So dangerous to sit still, you see Oh darling, life's for living So on your feet, we're leaving To see it all Follow me Metti la tua mano Nella mia tesoro We'll set ourselves free Follow me to the coast And come bury your toes And feel it all Follow me Open your heart to me It's what I wish to keep So come follow Follow me

I can’t even count the ways that you have saved me darling Or how many times you’ve brought a smile to my face The number’s climbing Five thousand four hundred seventy five days And counting And every one of them means something to me So for you I’ll sing this song that I’ve been writing For fifteen years We’re thunder, we are lightning How did I end up so damn lucky I don’t understand it My heart’s pumping blood from my head to my feet You kickstarted it So for you I’ll sing this song that I’ve been writing For fifteen years A force to be reckoned with We’re thunder, we are lightning Five thousand four hundred seventy five days And counting And every one of them means something to me So for you I’ll sing this song that I’ve been writing For fifteen years We have been a force to be reckoned with We’re thunder, we are lightning
